Quantity

The MPPT MC6010BT 60A 12V/24V charge controller is a modern solar controller designed for autonomous off-grid photovoltaic installations. It uses the MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm, which tracks the panels' maximum power point in real time, ensuring maximum solar energy utilization and higher charging efficiency compared to simple PWM controllers. The built-in Bluetooth module allows remote viewing of operating parameters and configuration of the controller from a smartphone using a dedicated application.

Application – what is the MC6010BT controller for?

The MC6010BT controller is designed for charging 12V or 24V batteries from a set of photovoltaic panels in the following systems:

  • emergency power supply and off-grid energy storage,
  • solar installations in campers, caravans, and campervans,
  • power systems on boats and yachts,
  • holiday homes, gazebos, garden lighting systems,
  • monitoring, CCTV systems, telemetry, and small systems telecommunications.

The controller ensures proper battery charging, protects it against overcharging and deep discharge, and allows you to control receivers (e.g., lighting) according to selected operating modes – for example, from dusk to dawn or at specific time intervals.

How to use the MC6010BT controller – the basics

  1. Connect the battery to the controller terminals (note the +/- polarity). The controller automatically detects whether it operates in a 12V or 24V system.
  2. Connect photovoltaic panels to the controller's PV input, in accordance with the permissible voltage and input power (usually the maximum open circuit voltage of the panels is 100–150V – please check the vendor's product data sheet).
  3. Optionally connect DC loads (e.g., 12V/24V lighting) to the LOAD output, if the controller offers such an output with programmable operating modes.
  4. Pair the controller with your smartphone – turn on Bluetooth on your phone, launch a dedicated app (e.g., SolarLifeBT), and connect to the device to monitor voltages, currents, energy, and change settings (battery type, threshold voltages, load operating modes).
  5. Configure the battery type (AGM, GEL, acid, lithium – according to the manufacturer’s specifications) and, if necessary, adjust the charging voltages and disconnection thresholds to extend the battery life.
