The HLG power supply is the highest model of external constant-voltage power supplies from MEAN WELL. It has built-in short-circuit, overvoltage, overload and thermal protection.  Due to the hermetic IP67 metal housing, this power supply can also be used outdoors and in conditions where shocks up to 5G occur. They are also resistant to surges up to 4KV. 

HLG power supplies come in various varieties. In the most popular version A, the power supply has voltage regulation by approx. 10% and a dimming function up to approx. 60%.
In the B version, the power supply can be dimmed using 3 methods (PWM, 0-10V, resistive)
There are also variants having both functions combined like the AB version.

Application:

The Mean Well HLG-185H-12 power supply is suitable for powering various LED lighting systems, such as LED strips, LED modules, LED floodlights, LED street lamps, etc. This power supply has a tight metal housing compliant with the IP67/IP65 standard , which means it is resistant to dust and moisture. This power supply also has a built-in active power factor (PFC) function that improves the quality of the input current and reduces power consumption. This power supply also has short circuit, over current, over voltage and thermal protection to protect it from damage in the event of a failure. This power supply also has the ability to adjust the output voltage and current with a potentiometer (version A) or a 3-in-1 dimming function (version B), which allows you to adjust the brightness of the LED lighting to the user's needs.
