Quality LED features
The features of High quality LED chips?
A good LED is a diode that has not been spared in production. Therefore, the price is correlated with the quality of the diode.
The quality of the components themselves directly affects the quality of the LED. What you can read below.
Features of a good quality COB LED are:
- Thick metal base
Only efficient heat dissipation through the thick metal will ensure the LED's low temperatures and therefore long life.
A good diode must weigh. In the case of a 50W diode, the weight should be over 20 grams.
- Copper base
The way, but the best for heat dissipation, is copper that guarantees that the diode will not heat up, so it will work for a long time.
Remember that the maximum operating temperature of the diode is 65︒C. Working at higher temperatures causes the diode aging processes to accelerate.
Often the bases are also made of an alloy of aluminum and copper.
- Branded chip
The LED itself consists of many small LEDs placed on a heat sink and flooded with filament.
Good brand manufacturers of diodes themselves are EPISTAR and BRIDGELUX
- Golden Paths
The connections between the micro-diodes that make up the POWER LED are a very important element of the diode. This is where the current flows, supplying the entire system, and each break / burning of the connection between the individual diodes will cause a partial or complete failure of the LED diode.
- Fluorescent materials
The top LED chips are flooded with silicone containing fluorescent materials. The quality of these materials largely affects the amount and color of light we get. The best LEDs are made of materials produced in Japan. (e.g. our 50W LEDs)
